Art imitating art:

My inspiration for this collection is one of my favorite artists, Gustav Klimt. Gustav was a leading spirit of the Vienna Secession in 1897. He was a fervent creator of many beautiful portraits of both women and landscape. I wanted to celebrate his art by applying his techniques to my designs. I interpret and portray the artwork by combining different prints in a new and refreshing way. .. what do you think?

Volare

The collection “Volare” was inspired by my life-long fascination with flight, and the idea that aircrafts were inspired by the study of birds. I used the structural components of the early airplanes within my designs while adding the natural feel of feather from various types of birds. The silhouette of the collection reflects the time period when women were becoming their own, the roaring 20’s, my favorite decade.
